Giving Day 2021
95 Donors - $17,601 Donated

Earlier this year, the Simmons community lost one of our students to a senseless act of violence. Jahaira DeAlto '23, a passionate advocate for trans rights, trans visibility, and victims of abuse, was studying social work at Simmons. Over the past 25 years, she spoke about her experiences and more broadly about issues of gender, race, and sexuality at hundreds of events, including the Ryan White National Youth Conference and Shades of Color.

Help us honor Jahaira’s memory, by donating to the Jahaira DeAlto Endowed Scholarship, to be awarded annually to support one or more students in the Dix Scholars Program.
